How do you usually get what you want?
Hello and happy Tuesday! Today I'm going to share with you a very simple technique that I use to get what I want.
I love to daydream. When I say dream, I mean more like imagining. My dream is my vision and I just don't dream any old thing. I love to dream big! So much so that I don't share my dreams because a lot of people will be unable to understand them because they are so big.
Some people say you shouldn't dream big, but I believe that you should dream big. If you shoot for the moon, at least you'll catch a star. The bigger you dream, the better your results will be. I love to take a few moments of my day everyday to dream big. It does not take a lot of time. Usually it's just a few minutes of time throughout my day. I Set aside time just to daydream.
First I get caught up in the dream. I think about me in the now getting the results of my dream. I feel as if my dream has already happened. Here's what usually happens next. I get so caught up in that dream that ideas start coming through. These are ideas of inspiration and these ideas help me build what it is that I'm dreaming about step by step. If you dream big and sit long enough to listen, you'll get inspiration of how you can begin to build on your dreams while you're daydreaming.
Here's what's happening mentally.
Your subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between your
imagination and what's really happening. When you are in your daydream and you are feeling is if what you want is already happening to you, it gets your emotions involved.
It gets your feelings involved. After a while, you begin to feel and think as if it's real to you.
Once you feel that way, the subconscious mind will see it as being real too.
It will then conspire to bring that into your physical reality, connecting you with people that align with that dream, connecting you with circumstances that align with that dream.
Here's the insider tip.... The subconscious mind loves repetition. The more you repeat this, the sooner you will see your vision in your reality.
I want to challenge you this week and I don't want this challenge to only last for this week.
I want you to make it a habit to daydream. Dream everyday. Even if it's only five minutes a day, ten minutes a day. If you can do it several times throughout the day, that is perfect.
But I want you to visualize what you really want and dream big. Imagine a scene as if what you want is already available to you. What will you do? How will you act? How would this make you feel? Continue to do this. Listen for the inspiration because you'll be getting tips to help you connect the dots coming in as inspiration to help you bring your dream into a reality. Write those things down. Those are your action steps. Once you get your action steps, it's time for you to take small measurable action towards that big dream. And while you're doing this, don't stop dreaming. Find a way to get caught up in your dreams. My favorite ways to get caught up in my dreams are a nice long drive, or some nice music playing softly in the background, during meditation or just quiet time. Some time that you can just take to zone out for a few moments. If none of these ways work for you, find a way to zone out in something that you love to do. It could be in nature. You may like to write, you may like to read. Any of these things will help. Just remember to make sure that it is a place that's comfortable for you and one in which you can focus.
